The Mineralogical Society of America is delighted to announce two new Editors for its flagship journal, American Mineralogist. They are: Professor Fabrizio Nestola, Department of Geosciences, University of Padova, Padova, Italy, who will take on the role of Editor, replacing Professor Hongwu Xu; and Professor Mainak Mookherjee, Department of Earth, Ocean, and Atmospheric Science, Florida State University, Tallahassee, Florida, USA, who will be assuming a new role for American Mineralogist, that of Special Publications Editor. Both Editorial positions will begin January 1, 2026. Professor Paul Tomascak, Associate Dean, College of Liberal Arts, Sciences & Engineering, SUNY Oswego, Oswego, New York, USA, will also continue in his role as American Mineralogist Editor. MSA wishes to express immense gratitude to Professor Hongwu Xu, School of Molecular Sciences, Arizona State University, Tempe, Arizona, USA, who has been in the role of Editor for American Mineralogist since 2019.
