Hi everyone,
Communicating science effectively is essential. As trust in scientific institutions faces increasing challenges and science programs encounter pressures, we must continue thinking about how we engage with the world beyond our own community.
At AGU this year, we’re hosting a session that tackles this head-on:
Session U022: “We Need a Hero! We Need Effective Communication with the Public!”
This session brings together scientists, educators, and communicators who are building new pathways between Earth and space science and the audiences we serve.
We welcome submissions that:
- Explore creative, interdisciplinary outreach or education
- Use storytelling, media, and unique approaches to increase scientific engagement
- Build public trust and relevance around Earth and space science
- Share lessons learned, including strategies that didn't go as planned and what they taught you
If your work is helping science connect more clearly, more widely, or more effectively, we want to hear from you.
Let’s move the conversation forward, and we hope to see you there.
Best,
