Dear Colleagues,
This is a quick reminder that the registration and abstract submission deadline for ExPet26 is just two weeks away, on July 1, 2026.
ExPet26 is the inaugural meeting bringing together experimental petrologists from across the U.S. and worldwide to share recent advances and to help shape the future of our community. It will be held October 14-16, 2026 at the Carnegie Earth and Planets Laboratory in Washington, DC, with a hybrid format to support international and remote participation (science sessions are scheduled in the morning, US Eastern Time).
Confirmed invited speakers include Fred Davis (Univ. of Minnesota, Duluth), Damanveer Grewal (Yale), Alex Gysi (New Mexico Tech), Megan Holycross (Cornell), Sarah Lambart (Univ. of Utah), and Kevin Righter (Rochester).
ExPet26 is supported by the U.S. National Science Foundation. Registration is free, and limited travel and accommodation support is available for in-person attendees (capped at ~80).
