Dear all,

We are currently advertising a postdoctoral position in computational fluid mechanics at Trinity College Dublin, as part of the SFI-GSI co-funded Critical-Ireland project. The postdoc will work closely with Critical-Ireland collaborators at Brown University and the University of Cambridge, and will join a rapidly growing igneous petrology/volcanology research community in Dublin.

This is a fully funded 2 year position, aiming to develop computational fluid mechanical models to explore the behaviour of sulphide liquids in magmatic mushes, before applying these to understand PGE mineralisation in well-documented natural case studies.

The application closing date is midnight (Dublin time) on 11 October 2023, with a start date on 1 December 2023 (or as soon as possible thereafter).

A full job description and details of the application procedure can be found here: https://www.earthworks-jobs.com/geoscience/tcd23092. For all enquiries, please contact Dr Mike Stock at Michael.Stock@tcd.iemailto:Michael.Stock@tcd.ie.

Please forward to any current postdocs or final year PhD students who might be interested.

Many thanks in advance,

Mike
