The New Mexico Bureau of Geology and Mineral Resources (NMBGMR) is seeking a postdoctoral candidate for mineralogical/geological research, and oversight of its new X-ray diffraction and electron microprobe center. The successful candidate will help manage the daily activities of the lab, including sample preparation and the operation of a Panalytical X’Pert Pro powder X-ray diffractometer (XRD), a new Rigaku Synergy-S single crystal XRD, and a new JEOL JXA-iHP200F Field Emission Electron Microprobe. The position will also involve training students and researchers in the use of the facility's instruments, and help with maintenance of facility instrumentation.
