Re: [MSA-talk] C. Wayne Burnham

I was saddened to hear that Wayne Burnham died last August -- at the age of 93! I actually had thought we were probably closer together in age. At 82 I guess I'm just a youngster in comparison.

Has anyone told the Geosciences Department at Penn State? I see no sign of an obituary on their website. This is too much punishment for the relatively minor sin of living many, many years beyond retirement.

Hi Paul,

It’s only in the last day through this website that I learned of Wayne’s passing! Has anyone seen an obituary? I can’t seem to find one on the web.

Dear Lee,

There is nothing. Only by reaching Wayne's family did we find out. I would suggest you commission one or more of your other emeritus faculty or seek among Wayne's Ph.D. students for someone willing to write one, to be posted on PSU's website and perhaps submitted to Elements.
