Dear colleagues,
Please see the job advertisement below for a post-doc position at ETH.

Postdoctoral researcher in ultrahigh-pressure mineral physics and geophysics at ETH Zurich, Switzerland

The Experimental Mineral Physics (EMP) group in the Institute of Geochemistry and Petrology at ETH Zurich (Prof. Motohiko Murakami) invites applications for a postdoc position in ultrahigh-pressure mineral physics and geophysics. Our research focuses on the ultrahigh-pressure experimental mineral physics to explore the internal structure, mineralogy and evolution of the Earth and the other planets.

Job description
This is a fixed term 3-years position with a possible start as soon as possible after July 1st, 2021.
The project will involve high-pressure and high temperature experimental work using a laser-heated diamond anvil cell combined with various laser spectroscopic methods (Raman, Brillouin scattering) and synchrotron X-rays to determine the physical properties of deep planetary materials. The successful candidate is expected to perform high-pressure and high-temperature experimental research in collaboration with group members, to teach, and to undertake infrastructural tasks. The position will be based at the Institute of Geochemistry and Petrology, ETH Zurich (Prof. Motohiko Murakami).

We look forward to receiving your online application including a CV, publication list, statement of research interests and the names and contact information of at least two references. Please note that we exclusively accept applications submitted through our online application portal below. Applications via email or postal services will not be considered.
