Hello All,
We would like to invite you to submit an abstract to AGU25 session “V023: Petrology and Geochemistry of Meteorites and Returned Sampleshttps://agu.confex.com/agu/agu25/prelim.cgi/Session/248089”.
Session Description:
The study of planetary materials is necessary to understand the origin and evolution of the Solar System, from the formation of the first solids to the accretion and differentiation of rocky bodies. The petrology and geochemistry of meteorites and return samples provide direct constraints on the formation, melting, crystallization, volatile cycling, and/or alteration processes that occurred on rocky bodies including the Earth, Moon, Mars, and other Solar System bodies. This session invites abstracts that use analytical, experimental, and theoretical methods to study meteorites, returned samples, and the bodies from which they are derived. We welcome interdisciplinary contributions utilizing high-pressure experiments, geochemical and isotopic analyses, paleomagnetic measurements, numerical modeling, and mission data. We particularly welcome abstracts focused on deep interior processes, volatile histories and surface evolution. Submissions from early career researchers and members of underrepresented groups are strongly encouraged.
Submission Deadline: Wednesday, July 30th, 2025 @ 11:59 pm EDT
