17th International Clay Conference US-based student and early career clay scientists conference grant

The Clay Minerals Society is accepting on first come first serve basis applications for a grant to cover registration, fieldtrip, and workshop fees for the 17th International Clay Conference (ICC).

To be considered please send an email to cms@clays.orgmailto:cms@clays.org with the subject line: ICC US-based student and early career grant.  The time stamp of your email will

determine the order of application if all information below is supplied.

To qualify, you must be a U.S. Citizen. Also eligible are foreign students matriculating at a US based university or foreign early career scientist working for a US based institution.

Include in your email application the following information:

Full Name:

Complete Mailing Address:

Affiliation:

Email:

Phone number:

Status:  Student (include advisor’s contact information) or Early Career Clay scientist (include Date of degree and conferring university).

This conference is being run in hybrid mode, with both physical and virtual participants.  Visit icc.aipea.org for complete information about the program. The grants will apply to all registrants that qualify, whether participation is physical or virtual. Early Career Clay Scientists include those that have received their graduate degree no more than five years ago.

Funds can be applied toward registration, field trip, and workshop.

All awardees will be required to register/pay online via the meeting website: icc.aipea.org/account. Once proof of payment has been documented, then the CMS will quickly reimburse by check payment in the mail.

If you have already registered for the meeting and qualify, then send proof of payment. Funds are limited, hence the first come first serve criteria.

The registration deadline is June 24, 2022
