Dear All, We are pleased to announce the upcoming workshop "Fluid Inclusion Study: Principles and Applications - The Jacques Touret Legacy", which will take place in Torino from June 27 to June 29, 2025. This workshop introduces participants to studying fluid and melt inclusions in rocks, utilising the approach developed by Jacques Touret. The focus will be on the petrographic approach, the thermodynamics of major fluid systems, and analytical techniques, including Raman microspectroscopy and microthermometry. Participants can look forward to several key lectures covering natural and experimental examples of fluids and fluid-rock interaction in the Earth's crust and mantle. The workshop will be offered both in-person and online. The workshop, conceived by Maria Luce Frezzotti, Alfons van den Kerkhof, Jan Marten Hiuzenga and Silvio Ferrero, is co-organised by ECROFI 2025 and the third IAGC international conferences. Please note that participation in the conference is not required to attend the workshop. The attendance fee for the workshop is €250 for companies and €150 for university institutions, museums, and national research institutions. For those participating online, the fee is €125. PhD students can attend online free of charge. We are pleased to offer 21 hours of lectures, which can be converted into CFU and will contribute to ECTS credits for PhD students.
