The SLAC Earth Sciences group is looking for a post-doctoral researcher for a DOE funded project investigating Critical Materials (CMs) in unconventional hydraulic fracturing waste streams. This position includes detailed characterization of drill cuttings using laboratory- and synchrotron-based methods as well as developing extraction techniques for maximizing CM yields. A Ph.D. in geology, geochemistry, or related field is required along with experience in wet chemistry.
