Speaker - Vincent Pardieu

Vincent Pardieu is a consultant Field Gemologist at VP Consulting WLL, writer, and documentary producer with over 25 years of experience. He has conducted 154 field expeditions across various continents for gemological research and is recognized as one of the most traveled gemologists, famously described by Richard W. Hughes. Vincent specializes in determining the origins of colored gemstones and is currently focused on building a reliable reference collection for gemological research. His career includes roles as a spinel buyer in Myanmar, Director of the AIGS Lab in Bangkok, gemologist at the Gübelin Gem Lab in Switzerland, and co-founder of the Field Gemology department at the GIA lab in Bangkok. Since 2017, he runs his own consultancy, collaborating with institutions like DANAT, Greenland Ruby, and MUZO emerald mine. An active member of the gemological community, Vincent is involved with the LFG in Paris, the Association Française de Gemmologie, and the AGTA committee for industry standards. He is celebrated for his dedication to gemology, having delivered numerous lectures and published extensively.
