Dear colleagues,

We would like to invite you to submit an abstract to Goldschmidt 2026
for Session
02e: Understanding the Deep Earth through the Elastic and Transport
Properties of Its Constituent Materials
.

This session highlights* recent experimental and theoretical advances in
elastic and transport properties of mantle and core minerals and melts*,
and how these results integrate with geophysical observations to improve
models of Earth and planetary interior structure, dynamics, and evolution.

We welcome contributions on elasticity and transport properties (e.g.,
electrical/thermal conductivity, diffusivity, viscosity) of deep Earth and
planetary materials.

*Session details: *
https://conf.goldschmidt.info/goldschmidt/2026/meetingapp.cgi/Session/8729
Abstract deadline: February 26, 2026

Keynote speaker: Prof. Jin Zhang (Texas A&M University)

We look forward to seeing you in Montréal, Canada.

Best regards,
Rong Huang, Yoshiyuki Okuda, Biao Wang, Takashi Yoshino
