Hello Colleagues - The Division of Physical Sciences is seeking a candidate for a 1 year postdoctoral fellowship consisting of 75% research and 25% education. The research will be conducted in fields related to the interests of curatorial faculty member Denton Ebel, particularly experimental petrology research on samples from the collection to investigate topics in magma genesis, volatile content of silicic melts, and hydrous mineral stability in relation to T, P and melt composition. The education component entails serving on the faculty of the RGGS Master-of-Arts in Teaching (MAT) Earth Science residency program (http://www.amnh.org/learn-teach/master-of-arts-in-teaching) designed to prepare Earth science teachers for 7-12th grade high needs public school classroom.
