Collecting minerals underground at the Black Cloud Mine in Leadville, Colorado sparked a passion for minerals in Dave Bunk that has never waned. And while Dave has traveled extensively in search of specimens, brokering collections has become the focus of his business. The fascinating variety of styles, sizes, species, and localities reveal much about their collectors, bringing a human aspect to Dave Bunk Minerals. Dave Bunk has been selling mineral specimens in the Denver area and around the world since 1990. He specializes in Colorado minerals and ore minerals from all locations, but always maintains a wide and varied inventory - including handling collections as they come to market. Notable collections from Jim and Dawn Minette, Bill and Carol Smith, Gene and Salle LaBerge, David Byers, Wendy and Frank Melanson, Bryant Harris, and many others have provided a stream of new material and stories through the years. Dave has also worked with miners to market their specimens; world class copper specimens from the Chino mine in New Mexico collected by Stan Esbenshade and Japan-law quartz twins from the PC mine in Montana collected by Pete Knudsen come to mind.

He does business through his websitehttps://www.davebunkminerals.com/, in person at mineral shows, out of his warehouse showroom at 5695 Yukon Street, Arvada, CO 80002, and also via an ebay auction outlet called DBM-auctionshttps://www.ebay.com/str/dbmauctions. He can be reached by e-mail at dave@davebunkkminerals.com.
