Assistant Professor of Hard-Rock geosciences opportunity

Apologies for cross-postings.

The School of Geosciences at the University of Oklahoma is seeking for a tenure-track assistant professor in the general fields of mineralogy, petrology, high temperature geochemistry and critical minerals to join our School in 2026. The areas of specialty can include, but are not limited to, mineralogy, igneous or metamorphic petrology, high-temperature geochemistry, volcanology, structural geology, geochronology, thermochronology, and planetary sciences. The committee will begin reviewing applications on October 31, 2025, and on-campus interviews are expected to start Early spring 2026.

The search will continue until the position is filled. The anticipated starting date is August 16, 2026. If you have any questions or information requests, you may address them to me at lamadrid@ou.edu.
