We are delighted to announce the MSA Inaugural Annual Meeting on February 16-18, 2026 in Tucson, Arizona, USA. The meeting will follow the Tucson Gem and Mineral Showhttps://www.tgms.org/show and will feature field trips on Monday, February 16, followed by a welcome reception that evening. On February 17 and 18 there will be a series of talks and poster sessions on cutting-edge topics in mineralogy in the Turquoise Room of the Pima County Historic Courthousehttps://visitsouthernarizona.com/about-the-courthouse/ in downtown Tucson.

The Historic Courthouse is also the location of The University of Arizona’s spectacular Alfie Norville Gem & Mineral Museum,https://gemandmineralmuseum.arizona.edu/ so a museum tour will be part of the event. An evening reception in the Courtyard of the Courthouse on Tuesday, February 17 will be included with registration, as will breakfast and lunch on both days of the meeting. A room block is reserved at the Hampton Inn/Home2 Suites by Hilton - Tucson Downtown, which is within walking distance of the meeting venue.
Abstract submissions for the meeting are being accepted NOW through October 31, 2025, so we encourage you and your colleagues and students to submit. The abstract form is available at this link on the MSA website: https://msaweb.org/annualmeeting/.
Registration will be through the MSA website at www.msaweb.orghttp://www.msaweb.org/. We will send out a second announcement when registration is open, along with the registration fees. As with any MSA-sponsored event, current MSA members receive a 25 percent discount on registration.
