Please submit an abstract to our session ‘From the deep Earth to distant planets’, which will take place at Goldschmidt 2026 in Montreal, Canada (12–17 July). The session will celebrate the career of Bernard Wood, who turns 80 in 2026, by discussions about new advances in experimental petrology, geochemistry, and planetary science.
We are delighted to have an outstanding line-up of speakers confirmed so far, including:
- Dan Frost, (Bayerischen Geoinstitut, Germany), will be our keynote speaker.
- Liz Cottrell, (National Museum of Natural history, Smithsonian Institution, USA), is the 2026 recipient of the Ted Ringwood Medal (the EAG Science Innovation Award) and will be giving her medallist talk in this session.
- Mike Walter, (Earth and planetary laboratory, Carnegie, USA) will give an invited talk.
- Marc Hirschmann, (University of Minnesota, USA) will give an invited talk.
