To all MSA members:

Without your contributions, the MSA Communications committee has no
#MineralMonday posts to share.

Mineralogy has such diverse applications and uses that we would like to
highlight for the public. Whether your lab is doing interesting research,
you have exciting stories from the field to share, you have just published
a new paper, or you work in a cool industry field, we would love for you to
share with us and the broader community.

Check out our posts out on Facebook and other social media platforms:

Facebook page:  https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100064525667186

Instagram:  https://www.instagram.com/minsocam/

Linked in: Search for Mineralogical Society of America

Bluesky: @mineralsocamerica.bsky.social

You can contribute too.  You may feature your research, a favorite mineral,
a student project, a recent publication, a career option in mineralogy,
etc.  Submit photo(s) too!  The committee will lightly edit your post, add
appropriate #hashtags, and line it up for publishing.

If you wish, you may submit your posts (about 300 words long (or less!) and
up to 4 images) to our google form at:
https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSchicZymxWJmmBE5aaQHEHE3VV1N3oqzl2jqtVY1q4saoCdQA/viewform

Or submit directly to me at  Akoziol1@udayton.edu.

In late Fall 2026, we will look at which post has been the most popular (by
likes and upvotes) and will reward its author with a free RIMG volume of
their choice!

P.S. the 2025 winner was a post on Glaucophane.
