Dear colleagues,
The National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine are seeking nominations for membership on the Committee on Solid Earth Geophysicshttps://www.nationalacademies.org/our-work/committee-on-solid-earth-geophysics (COSEG). COSEG serves as a focal point for community discussion and community-agency interaction on issues related to the structure, dynamics, and evolution of the Earth. The committee hosts public meetings, webinars, and workshops exploring topics on the frontier of geophysics and at the intersection of geophysics and society. Recent topics include:

All past events can be viewed herehttps://www.nationalacademies.org/our-work/committee-on-solid-earth-geophysics#sectionPastEvents.
View the nominations formhttps://survey.alchemer.com/s3/8102027/Committee-on-Solid-Earth-Geophysics-Call-for-Experts for more details about service on the committee. Using the suggestions, National Academies staff may add up to 5 volunteer experts in addition to collecting information for future membership rotations and other forms of engagement. We invite you to submit nominations by December 31, 2024. Self-nominations are welcome.
COSEG also invites you to suggest a topic and provide other feedback about committee activities on this formhttps://survey.alchemer.com/s3/8103628/COSEG-community-engagement.
