Postdoc Opportunity: Enhanced REE Recovery Through Formation of High-Temperature Sulfate Liquids

The Department of Earth Sciences at the University of Delaware is seeking a
full-time Postdoctoral Research Associate to join an interdisciplinary
research team investigating high-temperature separation pathways for the
recovery of rare-earth elements (REEs) from complex hydrothermal solutions.

*The position is funded by the National Science Foundation and is renewable
for up to 4 years. The target start date is October 2025. *

Candidates should have expertise in one or more of the following areas:

·      High-temperature solution chemistry

·      Experimental or computational phase equilibria

·      X-ray characterization methods (PDF analysis, EXAFS,/ XANES, XRF,
etc.)

·      Structure modeling with classical and/or electronic structure methods
