Denison University invites applications https://apply.interfolio.com/125528 for a two-year visiting assistant professor in the Department of Earth & Environmental Sciences, to begin in August 2023. We are seeking a broadly trained Earth/Environmental scientist to teach four courses in a 2/2 format: Environmental System Science, Historical Geology, and introductory Earth & Environmental Sciences. Successful candidates are expected to be outstanding teacher-scholars and, as a liberal arts college, we will prioritize candidates who evidence a strong commitment to teaching and mentoring students.

Candidates will have a Ph.D. by August 2023 in Earth and(or) Environmental sciences or a closely related field (ABD will be considered as well). Please submit a letter of application, a CV, names and email addresses of three references and a brief (2 page) teaching statement detailing your experience and ideas for teaching Environmental System Science and Historical Geology. Priority review of applicants will begin June 30, 2023 although applications will be open until the position is filled.
